The Guild of Mace Bearers is the membership organisation for those who assist the Civic Heads of our Nation to carry out their ceremonial duties. If  you are a visitor we hope you enjoy learning about our Guild and the job we are all proud to do. Help wanted - Guild Training Officer

Do you have a flair for arranging events?
Do you believe quality training is important to our jobs?

The Guild Council is looking for someone who can  assist in organising the Stevenage training days and the Conference 2008 training following the recent change of circumstances of the Training Officer. This is a temporary post until the August AGM when the Guild will be looking to elect a new Training Officer to the Guild Council for the coming year.

Training - Stevenage - 16th & 17th June 2008

A two-day training event will take place in Stevenage in June including workshops on Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and Care of Robes. Speak to your manager and book your place NOW! Full details available on the Training page.
 

Conference 2008 - 5th, 6th & 7th of August.

Book your place now to attend the Annual Conference and Training Event  in St. Helens. Accommodation in the town is very limited and is filling up fast. Further details of the programme and local hotels can be found on the Training page.
 

Guild Bursar

The Guild Bursar has announced that she will be stepping down at the AGM in August. Any member who might consider standing for this position would be welcome to contact Gill for a chat about what the post entails.
 

Members Area of the website

Registered members can access the latest Guild membership list, back copies of "The Macebearer" and notes from Guild Council meetings in this secure area of the site.  It also contains photo galleries of the last two conferences for you to view and download or order copies of these fabulous pictures. To register just email a request to the Webmaster including your full name and the name of the council/university you work for.

Membership

New members are always encouraged by the Guild, so if you know someone who is entitled to join please download the new Membership Application Form here. This is a revised form so please download this copy and dispose of any old versions. Previous members who have allowed their membership to lapse are welcome to re-join.
